Program Fee, Expenses & Scholarships

The total program fee for the 2025-26 intake is HK$390,000, which covers tuition, textbooks and course materials for some of the required courses, as well as some enrichment activities. Travelling and living expenses in Hong Kong are not included in the program fee.

Successful applicants who have accepted the offer from the program are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of HK$136,500, which will be offset against their outstanding program fee. The remainder of the program fee will be paid in two installments.

OTHER EXPENSES

On-campus accommodation at HKUST is not available due to heavy demand. Students will have to explore short-term off-campus accommodation. Exchange-in and non-local students can seek help from the University’s Student Housing Office for information on short-term off-campus housing options.

Students who go on the one-term exchange will continue to pay HKUST tuition fee for the credits they earn at exchange schools. Travelling and living expenses vary according to the locations of exchange schools and are not included in the program fee. In some cases, the partner universities may require exchange students to pay for the costs of participating in the Block Seminar and some other course materials.
