About Double Degree Option

M2M Program

Combining two master’s degrees from two leading business schools in two countries, the M2M Program aims to offer high-achieving students the opportunity to gain a solid business education and a global perspective concurrently.

In addition to completing coursework at each institution in which they enroll, M2M students are provided with cross-school exposures that creates global networks across the M2M cohort and enhance their expertise in international business practices. This cross-school exposure includes virtual teamwork, collaborative exercises, and academic seminars convened by participating schools to engage students in discussions about global issues with experts in the field. Furthermore, the M2M program combines the distinctive strengths of two leading business schools, exposing students to valuable career resources, as well as unique peer and alumni communities. M2M students set themselves apart in the competitive global job market by being both internationally minded, and equipped with robust business knowledge.

HKUST–YALE/ –FGV EAESP Double Degree Option

Under a double degree partnership established by the HKUST Business School, the School of Management of Yale University (SOM) and the FGV Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP), the HKUST MIMT program can be combined with the Yale SOM Master of Management Studies in Global Business and Society (Yale MMS) or the FGV EAESP Master in International Management (FGV MPGI).

Students can opt for the HKUST-Yale or -FGV EAESP double degree option at the time of HKUST MIMT admissions. Successful students being admitted to both universities will spend the 1st academic year in the HKUST MIMT program and the 2nd academic year in the Yale MMS program or the FGV MPGI program. Students are required to settle the program fees to HKUST and Yale or FGV EAESP in respective years at where they stay. Scholarships or financial aids, if any, are also independently allocated by respective schools.

HEC PARIS - HKUST Double Degree Option

The HKUST Business School and HEC Paris have established a double degree partnership for the HKUST MSc in International Management (HKUST MIMT) program and the HEC Paris Master in Management Grande Ecole Degree (HEC MiM) program. Students can opt for the double degree option at the time of applying for HEC Paris double degree program. Successful students being admitted to both universities will spend the 1st academic year in HEC Paris for the HEC MiM program and the 2nd academic year at HKUST for the MIMT program. Students are required to settle the program fees to HEC Paris and HKUST in respective years at where they stay. Scholarships or financial aids, if any, are also independently allocated by respective schools.

HKUST MIMT Program (Second Year)

HKUST MIMT requires students to complete a total of 34 credits of coursework including the following components:

  • Understanding Consumers: A Strategic Approach

Required Courses (5 credits)

  • Global Citizenship
  • Managing Global Complexity

  • Business and Climate Change in Asia Pacific
  • Deal Making across Asia and China
  • Effective Negotiations
  • Leverage Personality in the Workplace
  • And many other elective courses

Admission Requirements and Process

Applicants should hold at least a Bachelor degree in any discipline from higher education. Students should apply directly with HEC Paris. HEC Paris will share the applicants’ profile with HKUST for admission purposes. Students may have to join the admission interviews respectively by both institutions. Admission decision to the HEC Paris - HKUST double degree option will be decided by both HEC Paris and the HKUST Business School. Students should fulfill the admission requirements of both HEC Pairs and the HKUST Business School respectively. Students are required to achieve satisfactory academic performance at HEC Paris so as to proceed to the 2nd year of study at HKUST. Tuition Fees and Expenses

The tuition fee for HEC MiM Program is EURO 26,600* and the tuition fee for HKUST MIMT program of 2024/25 intake will be HKD 390,000. Traveling and living expenses are not included in the tuition fee.

Admission Requirements and Process

Applicants should fulfill the admission requirements of both schools respectively. Applicants should also fulfill the below pre-requisite requirements either in their undergraduate studies or during the HKUST MIMT program before they start the Yale or FGV EAESP academic year. HKUST will NOT guarantee that applicants who are successfully admitted into the HKUST MIMT program can also be admitted to the Yale University or FGV EAESP. It is subject to Yale or FGV EAESP’s endorsement/ approval for students meeting the pre-requisite requirements.

Additional admission requirements for Yale MMS program:

  • Fulfill HKUST MIMT degree requirements with satisfactory academic performance
  • Work Experience: have full-time work or internship experience for at least 12 weeks, at a professional level (first job level of a graduate recruit)

Additional admission requirements for FGV EAESP MPGI program:

  • Fulfill HKUST MIMT degree requirements with satisfactory academic performance
